Why We Serve

_______

We serve because God has first served us.

We believe that no one has ever served others quite the way that Jesus served others when he lived the life we could never live and died the death we deserve. We serve as a response to that, as an act of worship. We have lots of amazing opportunities to serve at City on a Hill Church. See below for how you can be involved.

Serving in the church allows someone to give back with what they’ve been given! Using our time, talents, giftings and energy is a great way to connect with others and a way to care for others around you. Each of the teams listed in the form below are great places to help in the life of our church.

Connections Team

Our Connections team welcomes guests and members each Sunday by caring for others in a way that reflects the gospel’s invitation to each of us. They serve as greeters and parking lot attendees, assist in helping get kids checked in and help with any needs attendees may have.

CoaH Kids Team

Our Kids team is responsible for helping our kids have a fun, safe and exciting time learning about Jesus through worship songs, games, crafts, and age appropriate teaching each and every Sunday.

Tech Team

Our tech team is responsible for running audio, video, social media and slides each Sunday morning. Team members need to feel comfortable with computers and willing to learn how to run cameras and pro-presenter – a program to display songs, scripture and sermon notes on the projector.

Worship Team

Our worship team leads our church in song, prayer and responsive readings for our Sunday Morning Gathering. Talented Christian musicians are encouraged to audition with our Worship Director, Nick Santostefano.

In the Church…

In the Community

We love our city! Therefore, we seek to be a church in the community, committed to the good of the community. We want the very best for it and we believe that is Jesus. We desire for every person, of every background, in every neighborhood to know the God who made them through a relationship with Jesus. As a result, that is why each of our community groups have identified a part of the neighborhood and city that they will serve, share and care for. This could be a local school, non-profit, apartment complex, etc. We have even named our community groups based on the areas we seek to care for in our city in the everyday rhythms of life.

If you are interested in serving the community, the best way to do this is with and through our community groups. Click the button below to see where you can serve!
